They're in a nationwide battle to have their school named America's Greenest School. Right now they are in 1st place among the10 finalists. the winner gets a brand new hybrid school bus worth 150-thousand dollars.

When students at the Plummer Motz school were asked what they could do to make their school greener they found that doing some very simple things can make a big difference. things such as carpooling to school, making sure the bathroom faucets are completely turned off and shutting off the lights when they leave the class room.

'We're trying to get people to know that even really simple things can make a huge difference and we were thinking that if kids do it maybe grown ups can do it too", said Ella Boyd a 4th grader.
